RECOVER Rescuer Certificate Course: Resuscitation for dogs and cats

For many years, there was no uniform, evidence-based procedure for resuscitating dogs and cats in small animal medicine. With the introduction of the RECOVER guidelines (Reassessment Campaign on Veterinary Resuscitation) in 2012, an internationally recognized standard was created for the first time. These guidelines cover both basic resuscitation measures (basic life support) such as ventilation and chest compressions, as well as advanced measures (advanced life support) including rhythm assessment and drug therapy. Since their establishment, the survival chances of cardiac arrest patients have been demonstrably improved.
