Ms. Apfel studied at JLU from 2013 to 2019 and received her veterinary license in the same year. Dr. Beate Bosch studied veterinary medicine at the University of Leipzig from 1999 to 2005 and subsequently worked there as a research assistant. At the same time, she completed a residency in the field of diagnostic imaging from 2008, with stays at the Vetsuisse Faculty and the University of Pretoria. In the same year, she was appointed a specialist veterinarian for small animals and pets. In 2009, she received the "Best Oral Award" at the 15th meeting of the International Veterinary Radiology Association in Brazil. Dr. vet. med. Ursula Breuer is a veterinarian with an additional qualification in animal behavior therapy. After studying agricultural sciences, she studied veterinary medicine until 1990. She obtained her doctorate in 1992 and founded her own veterinary practice in the same year, specializing in the field of animal behaviour therapy from the outset. She focuses on dogs and cats. Dr. Theresa Conze studied veterinary medicine at the universities of Budapest and Leipzig. After graduating, she initially gained practical experience in a small animal practice in Leipzig before moving to Justus Liebig University Giessen to work at the Clinic for Reproductive Medicine and Neonatology. There she headed the small animal department and deepened her specialization in reproductive medicine. Dr. Conze is a specialist veterinarian for biotechnology and reproductive breeding hygiene and a Diplomate of the European College for Animal Reproduction (ECAR). From 2021, she worked at Tierklinik Dinkelsbühl GmbH, specializing in reproductive medicine and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Dorothee Dahlem studied veterinary medicine at the University of Leipzig and held several scientific positions at the university clinic for small animals. As part of her doctorate, she investigated echocardiographic reference ranges in golden retrievers. From 2009, she completed her specialist veterinary training for small animals and pets, followed by a residency in internal medicine (ECVIM-CA). She has been a specialist veterinarian for small and companion animals since 2014 and a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine - Companion Animals (ECVIM-CA) since 2018. She worked at Justus Liebig University Giessen as a research assistant and from 2017 to 2019 as a senior physician in internal medicine. Prof. Dr. Franck Forterre, Dipl. ECVS, has been Clinic Director and Head of the Department of Surgery at the Small Animal Clinic of the Vetsuisse Faculty Bern since 2019. As a proven expert in the field of neurosurgery, he is the author of numerous publications, book chapters and a sought-after speaker at international specialist congresses. He completed his veterinary training from 1987 to 1991 at the faculty in Toulouse, France. He then worked at the Department of Small Animal Surgery at LMU Munich from 1991 to 1998, initially as a doctoral student and later as an assistant. From 1998 to 2005, he worked as a senior physician for neurosurgery and surgery at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Small Pets at the Free University of Berlin. Dr. Nikola Heblinski studied veterinary medicine at the Free University of Berlin, where she worked as a doctoral student and research assistant at the Institute of Veterinary Pathology. This was followed by an internship at the Small Animal Clinic in Augsburg and work as a veterinarian in various clinics and practices in Germany and at the Hollabrunn Veterinary Clinic in Austria. From 2015 to 2018, Dr. Heblinski completed her surgical residency program at the Hollabrunn Veterinary Clinic and the Evidensia Spezialistdjursjukhuset Strömsholm in Sweden. In 2019, she was recognized as a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS). She then worked as a surgical specialist at two prestigious institutions in Sydney, Australia. Sonja Hegel combines veterinary expertise with extensive experience in marketing and sales. After studying veterinary medicine at JLU Giessen, she first gained practical experience in equine practice and then worked for IDEXX in sales for over five years – most recently as area manager for a team of 10. During this time, she got to know around 1,000 veterinary practices and gained deep insights into their processes and challenges. In 2020, she founded the specialist blog LISCA.vet, which gave rise to the agency LISCA.vet Praxismarketing in 2022. Today, she advises veterinary practices on customer communication, marketing, sales, and social media, developed the SocialMediaVet Bootcamp, and, as a podcaster on the FutureVetBusiness Podcast, she highlights future topics in the veterinary industry.

Dr. Inken S. Henze completed her studies in veterinary medicine at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Zurich, followed by an initial assistantship at the Kaufungen Veterinary Clinic. This was followed by an internship and a position as an assistant veterinarian for anesthesia, emergency, and intensive care medicine at LMU Munich. From 2019 to 2022, she completed a combined residency and doctoral thesis in veterinary anesthesiology at the University of Zurich Veterinary Hospital. In 2022, she completed a research stay at St. George's University in Grenada and continued to work as an ECVAA board eligible assistant veterinarian at the Zurich Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Norbert Langen studied in Antwerp and Giessen, where he also earned his doctorate. He worked for many years at the University of Giessen as a senior physician in surgery and was most recently head of orthopedics there until he moved to the private sector at the end of 2023. Constantin Wenning has been Deputy Head of Quality Management at Klinikum Wilhelmshaven gGmbH since April 2024. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of Kleintierklinik Frankenthal GmbH and Symbiose GmbH/vetQM GmbH. Since 2014, he has also been working as an independent management consultant and workshop leader in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In addition, he is a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Neu-Ulm and a speaker for veterinarians and veterinary assistants. After completing his shortened training as a veterinary assistant, he gained extensive practical experience in a management position – first at the Dr. David & Dr. Krützfeldt veterinary practice in Frankenthal, then at the Dr. Horst Schall small animal clinic in Ludwigshafen. Prof. Dr. med. vet. Dick White is a globally recognized expert in soft tissue surgery and oncological surgery in animals. He was one of the founders of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons and is a founding fellow of surgical oncology at the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. After more than 25 years in clinical teaching, he founded Dick White Referrals in 2003. He has received numerous national and international awards for his significant contributions to veterinary medicine. Prof. Dr. White has published extensively in professional journals and books and has held numerous academic and administrative positions. He is also Chief Medical Officer at MeikoVet. His areas of expertise include tumor surgery, wound management, reconstructive surgery, and surgery of the respiratory tract and ear, nose, and throat.

Dr. Deborah Wimmer studied veterinary medicine at the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Zurich, where she was enrolled from 2010 to 2016. She then completed an 18-month ophthalmology internship at the University Animal Hospital Zurich (2017–2018). From 2016 to 2020, she also completed her dissertation there on the topic of "Corneal and scleral permeability of desmoteplase in different species." Between 2018 and 2022, she worked as a veterinarian in general medicine, soft tissue surgery, and ophthalmology. In 2022, she obtained the GPCert Ophthalmology and has since been working as a veterinarian specializing in ophthalmology at the Specialist Center for Small Animal Medicine in Chemnitz. In 2024, she was awarded the additional title of "Ophthalmology for Small Animals and Pets."

Elena Züfle is a veterinary assistant, equine physiotherapist (DIPO), and is currently studying veterinary medicine at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. After completing her training, she worked in various animal clinics, including in surgery, and was responsible for training veterinary assistants. At the same time, she worked as a student assistant in the field of anatomy and gained extensive experience in the practical training of students. Her main areas of expertise are veterinary care, anatomy, physiotherapy, and practical training for veterinary assistants and trainees.

Gabriela Erichsen

Gabriela Erichsen studied veterinary medicine at Justus Liebig University and Freie Universität in Giessen. After graduating in 2009, she gained practical experience in various small animal practices in the Berlin-Brandenburg area. There, as a junior assistant, she took on consultation hours, performed soft tissue surgery, and carried out the classic duties of a pet veterinarian. In her later role as supervising veterinarian for the Fressnapf chain, she was responsible for quality assurance in the so-called "live animal markets" in northeastern Germany. After several years in this position, she moved to the sales department of Dr. Fritz Endoscopy GmbH, a company specializing in endoscopy systems. In order to maintain her professional connection to veterinary practice while deepening her understanding of business administration, she completed a part-time distance learning course on the subject of "Intensive Course in Business Administration" at the FernUniversität in Hagen. In 2018, Gabriela Erichsen and her husband Menno Erichsen (electrical engineer) founded anovica GmbH. The company's goal is to combine high-quality medical technology, medical expertise, and technical service in a holistic approach.

Rebecca Gebhardt has been a trained veterinary assistant since 2004. From 2020 to 2025, she worked at the Feuerteich veterinary practice, specializing in anesthesia. In 2019, she began certification in small animal anesthesia at the European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies. In addition, she has been a DEKRA-certified data protection specialist and licensed practitioner of NLP since 2019. In 2022, she completed the "360° Leadership" management training course at the Leaders Academy, followed by training in systemic coaching in 2023. Since 2024, she has been a member of the examination board of the Thuringia State Veterinary Association.

Hannah Neubauer first completed her training as a veterinary assistant at the Veterinary Clinic for Small Animals in Bielefeld, where she gained extensive practical experience. She then studied veterinary medicine at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. After completing her studies, she worked as a VetPlan manager at VetFamily GmbH before moving to anovica in 2023.
